Your consultation
Your consultation call is shaped around you. You can use the time to:
Share what’s led you to consider an assessment, including your experiences in everyday life.
Explore whether an ADHD assessment is the right next step for you.
Ask questions and understand what an assessment involves.
Talk through anything else that might be relevant, such as your mental health, previous diagnoses or assessments, medication or current circumstances.
Let us know about any needs or adjustments that could help you make the most of an assessment.
Receive personalised guidance on your options and next steps.
Is it for you?
A consultation may be particularly useful if:

You may recognise some characteristics of ADHD in yourself and wonder what to do next.

You may have existing diagnoses, mental health experiences or other circumstances that you'd like to discuss with a clinician before deciding about an assessment.

Booking an assessment is a personal and financial decision. A consultation gives you dedicated time to understand what to expect and ask the questions that matter to you.

Sometimes a conversation is the easiest place to start.
After your consultation
At the end of your consultation, your clinician will talk you through their recommendation and possible next steps.
If an ADHD assessment seems right for you and you’d like to go ahead, we’ll explain what happens next. If we think another option may be more helpful, we'll discuss this with you too.
There’s no obligation to book an assessment afterwards, and you don’t need to decide during your consultation. We want you to feel confident about whatever you decide next.
A consultation is there if you’d find it helpful. If you already feel ready, you can book an assessment without one.

A consultation call is an optional part of our private ADHD assessment service.
If you’re not sure if you would benefit from an ADHD assessment, or would like to know more about our service, you can arrange an up to 30-minute consultation call with one of our ADHD clinicians.
During your call, you can speak to the clinician about your personal story and the everyday experiences that have led you to seeking an ADHD assessment.
Please note that the consultation call is not an assessment; clinician cannot diagnose you during your consultation.
No, you do not need to book an assessment after or during your call. Our team may get in touch to check in with you, but there’s never any pressure to make a decision if you’re not ready.
The consultation call costs £100. If you decide to go ahead with a private ADHD assessment with us, the £100 cost of your consultation call will be deducted from the £950 assessment fee.
No, you do not need to have chosen an informant – or filled in any pre-assessment forms - before your consultation call.
An informant is someone who helps your ADHD assessor understand how you experience the world. They share their knowledge of you to support the assessment process.
You will need to pick an informant if you choose to go ahead with an ADHD assessment with us, but we’ll let you know it’s time to make that decision.
£100
There’s no obligation to book an assessment afterwards. If you go ahead, the £100 comes off your £950 assessment. The £100 is not refunded if you miss your call or decide not to go ahead with an assessment.
