Leading the way in mind health

All clinicians employed by ProblemShared are registered with their prospective regulatory professional bodies.

The talk therapists who appear in our directory, if psychologists, must be accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and counsellors and psychotherapists by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Our neurodevelopmental assessors are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC). They work closely with Clinical Advisory Groups and complete regular training sessions to ensure their methodologies and approaches keep pace with the latest trends and innovations in neurodevelopmental care.

Many members of our team have led neurodevelopmental services in the NHS and are experienced both in authoring protocols and carrying out remote assessments, diagnosis, and post-diagnostic support.

We’re here for you

The practitioners listed in our directory are not employed or contracted by ProblemShared. However, we maintain this carefully curated directory as many work with us through private partnerships.

We have now made this directory publicly available to help you find trusted, third-party practitioners for online talk therapy sessions. We hold every therapist in our directory to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Each practitioner is thoroughly vetted by our in-house team, must be registered with the appropriate professional bodies, and demonstrate expertise in delivering effective online therapy. We will never include a therapist we wouldn’t work with ourselves.

What our clients have to say

We are proud to have supported thousands of clients on their mind health journey.

“Before my counselling through ProblemShared I had never received any form of therapy and I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. I am happy to say I have learnt a lot about myself and how I can better cope with the challenges I have faced. Perhaps more importantly, I feel comfortable reaching out for help in the future should I feel I need it.”

Student

“My counsellor was a skilled CBT professional who helped equip me with practical exercises to overcome the issues in question. The counselling I received has enabled me to continue with my studies and regain my confidence moving forward.“

Student

“Danny is such a good therapist. The first professional I have spoken to that I felt was actually equipped to help me…very approachable and considerate. Would recommend to anyone but especially LGBTQ+ people as I felt welcome, safe and accepted.“

Student

“I have multiple diagnoses for mental health – the counsellor understood this and took it into account during my sessions. Accessibility outside normal hours was brilliant. Definitely considered leaving/deferring without the mental support received.“

What type of clinicians work at ProblemShared?

Our team of clinicians come from many different professional backgrounds and include nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, paediatricians, social workers, speech and language therapists, and specialist teachers.

They are all highly qualified, accredited by their relevant professional bodies, and follow the codes of conduct drawn from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines and for SpLD, the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC).

Who regulates ProblemShared?

ProblemShared is registered with the CQC. The CQC monitor and inspect health and social care organisations that provide any regulated activity. As such, our neurodevelopmental service is regulated, monitored and inspected by the CQC.

Our clinicians are all members of regulatory bodies and follow best practice guidelines set by those regulatory bodies. Furthermore, they must adhere to a code of conduct drawn from the requirements of professional psychotherapy bodies.

We also hold our counsellors to similar account. They must be members of an accredited industry body, have undergone DBS checks, and are all fully insured.

Are ProblemShared clinicians licensed and insured?

Yes. ProblemShared brings together a network of UK-registered mind health professionals and has a rigorous accreditation checking policy in place to ensure that all of our practitioners are vetted. We are CQC-registered, and our clinical governance framework is the foundation that ensures that our clients are kept safe. As part of this, we ensure that staff who are employed by us in the provision of a regulated activity receive appropriate support, training and professional development, supervision and appraisal as is necessary to enable them to carry out the duties they are employed to perform.

ProblemShared only uses psychiatrists, paediatricians and cardiologists who currently hold or have held consultant posts with the NHS. They must be on the General Medical Council (GMC)’s specialist register, and be fully insured. All healthcare professionals employed by ProblemShared are registered with their prospective regulatory professional bodies such as NMC and HCPC and SASC.

We also hold our counsellors to similar account. They must be members of an accredited industry body, have undergone DBS checks, and be fully insured.
