At ProblemShared, we understand the challenges that neurodivergent children and young people can face in traditional educational settings.
Our Education Navigation service is designed to support neurodivergent students beyond their diagnosis, helping them to thrive in their education journey.
Please note that access to Education Navigation through ProblemShared is subject to clinical assessment, a GP referral, and approval by your NHS provider, insurer, or university health service.
We offer personalised, strength-based recommendations for students diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and other learning differences through ProblemShared.
Our goal is to help integrate the recommendations made during your child’s assessment into their education setting.
We can support your child whether they are in school, college, university, or are home-schooled.
Our team consists of highly specialised Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinators (SENCOs) who understand the complexities of the education system.
We will collaborate with your child’s place of learning, working together to build their confidence, unlock their potential, and create pathways for long-term success.
A specialist consultation with a qualified teacher or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinators (SENCO).
A comprehensive written report detailing personalised recommendations and resources to enhance your child’s learning experience.
Support for parents or caregivers, including assistance with how to implement your child’s support plan.
Collaboration with the school, college, or university to ensure your child's voice is heard.
If you like, you can request an optional 15-minute introductory call with one of our team. They will take you through the process and answer any questions you may have at this stage.
Before we can enrol you, you and your child will need to complete a few forms. These forms help your advisor to access important context about your child’s learning experience.
Once your forms are submitted, your appointed advisor will meet with you, or you and your child, to better understand their diagnosis and any current educational challenges.
They will explore the effect of any steps that may have already been taken to improve the experience, and what needs to happen next.
Next, your advisor will engage with your child’s education provider, either in an online meeting or through a comprehensive questionnaire, to work out a support plan for your child.
A written report including recommendations, resources, and next steps is then shared with you within 28 days of your consultation.
Our team consists of fully qualified SENCOs and specialist teachers with years of experience supporting neurodivergent students in a range of educational settings, including mainstream, private, special, pupil referral unit (PRU) and enhanced provision.
The role of our advisors is to optimise educational environments to best suit the needs of your child. They work in partnership with schools and educators to understand what support is achievable given their staff or budget constraints, offering bespoke and expert guidance to create the best possible environment for your child to thrive.
Clients aged 7 to 19 years old, as well as higher education students up to the age of 22, can access the ProblemShared Education Navigation service, as long as they are not in full-time employment.
Our service is available to those attending private or public schools, colleges, universities, and those who are home-schooled.
Importantly, the service isn’t solely aimed at those facing profound challenges; even those seeking small optimisations in their educational experience are eligible.
We’re here to help you find the right support for you and your family.
The ProblemShared Education Navigation service supports neurodivergent students, their families, and their educational settings by providing tailored recommendations to enhance their learning experience.
Our service includes an optional introductory call, a consultation with your appointed Education Navigator, engagement with your child’s educational provider, and a comprehensive written report with personalised recommendations for enhancing your child’s learning experience.
You can start by completing our consent forms and One Page Profile, followed by a meeting with your appointed Education Navigator.
Child-age clients are not expected to attend this session, but we do request that their parent or caregiver brings their completed One Page Profile to the meeting to ensure that their child’s voice is represented.
If adolescents or young adults prefer to attend their appointment alone, we ask that a parent remains nearby, as your Education Navigator will need to seek their parental viewpoint as well.
