Personal Statement

I am trained as a person centred therapist, which means I won't direct the sessions, but allow you the space to explore what's important to you, at a pace that feels safe. I may challenge when appropriate, reflecting back and offering perspective on what you say, my intention is to understand you and the way you see yourself and the world as best as I can to hopefully deepen the understanding and explore what might be most helpful to you individually.

The first session may be talking about what's going on for you, what's happened leading up to this point, and what you hope to gain to therapy, this will be a chance for us to work together to decide how we may work going forward and see whether it's a good fit. There's no obligation to have a certain number of sessions, and we will review things regularly. I check in with you regularly and gain your feedback about how it's going and whether you would like to change anything about how we work together.
