My aim is to focus on you as a whole person, not solely on your symptoms and to gently guide you to feel more authentic, confident, and calmer in today's world.
As an Integrative therapist, your sessions may include person-centred talking therapy, some creative and/or CBT exercises and mindfulness based techniques. I may also suggest some therapy homework to complement the sessions.
The first session is for you to gather whether you feel comfortable working with me and for me to get an overview of your reason coming to counselling and to see whether I am the right counsellor to help you.
My principle is to regard a person with respect and equality whatever background, culture, gender or age; whilst providing a non-judgmental and safe space for you to explore and discuss your thoughts and navigate your feelings. Together we can talk through your difficulties, look at how events in the past might have affected the way you are living in the present; and identify solutions so that you can make appropriate changes to feel more in control of your day to day life.
