Special interest areas

I have special experience working with personality disorders.

Personal Statement

As a therapist I pull from different therapeutic models depending on the presenting problems. This may be using Dialectical Behavioural therapy techniques, or Cognitive behavioural approaches.I adopt an interview/conversational style approach.

I hope to create a safe place where a person can explore those situations and emotional reactions that are impacting their life.

I'm an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. Having completed my Doctoral Training in Los Angeles, California, I have been working with a range of individuals suffering from various mental health issues, both in the USA and the UK. I have experience of working with the following common, mild-moderate mental health problems: depression, anxiety disorders, mood regulation and relationship issues.

Over my 5 years of clinical experience, I has worked in a variety of in-patient and community settings, and have specific training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.

Additionally, since 2012 I have developed expertise in diagnostic assessments, including the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD in both children and adults.  I have completed such assessments in schools, universities, hospitals, and forensic settings, and have worked to research effective and evidence based strategies to manage symptoms of ADHD in a variety of settings.
