Personal Statement

Person centred counselling means that you are in control of our sessions and I will work with whatever you wish to talk about in our meetings. However over the past twenty years I have also expanded my knowledge in other theories. I also offer CBT, Guided Visualization and Rewind, to name a few. If I feel these approaches will help you on your personal journey I will offer them to you. I am not here to judge you and so if you feel you do not want to try any other theories, that is okay I will work with which theory you feel comfortable with.

I can work face to face, on the phone or remotely I am very flexible with my approaches and I am able to work with my clients needs. I ensure I have a safe and confidential environment to work in, where my clients feel safe and secure. The therapeutic space is somewhere the individual can escape to a compassionate and friendly atmosphere to discover and overcome issues causing them emotional difficulties. I always work at my client’s pace allowing them time and space to open up when they are ready to do so.
