Special interest areas
I have particular experience with supporting individuals with Baby and child loss. I also have experience of working with suicide in males and supporting individuals bereaved by suicide.
Personal Statement
I offer a safe space to explore difficulties and painful experiences, that is confidential, respectful, empathic and non-judgemental.
Working from a holistic viewpoint enables me to incorporate emotions, thoughts, behaviours and body language.
My therapeutic use of self enables me to work with unconscious processes and transference. These are things that maybe happening outside of our awareness, for example a person will be drawn to repeat the same behaviour but does not understand why.
I also draw on attachment and developmental theories which help me to identify processes, developmental and relational needs.
These could be needs that a person didn’t consistently have met or that were missing in important developmental stages of their lives.
