Personal Statement
As a person-centred therapist, I work on the basis that - although you may not feel like it - you are the expert on the best way forward. My role is to support you in finding this through relaxed and meaningful dialogue - helping to grow your self-awareness and offering alternative perspectives along the way. In our opening sessions, it's likely we would take a closer look at parts of your life that are upsetting or proving a struggle. From there, we would work together to identify some realistic and meaningful goals, before taking steps in moving towards them. Having said this, I appreciate the decision to share our personal difficulties can make us feel incredibly vulnerable and require a great deal of courage. With this in mind, I offer a calm, stable and unbiased environment, where we work at a pace that respects your readiness to share.
