Special interest areas
I have particular experience working with people directly and indirectly affected by psychosis, schizophrenia and personality disorders. I also have particular experience at working with those who have experienced trauma both in their child and adulthood, this includes rape, childhood sexual abuse and those who have experienced difficult parental relationships. Much of my work involves supporting clients through stressful life events and those experiencing emotional distress such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress.
Personal Statement
I have over 10 years experience of working with people who have felt troubled by their feelings and experiences and have supported people on a wide range of emotional issues.
I work in a person-centred way which place the client at the heart of the therapeutic relationship. I use a number of different techniques and skills that enable me to support clients to work through and understand the issues they face in a way that helps them move forward and achieve their goals.
