Special interest areas

As an accredited couple psychotherapist I work with relationship issues such as trust, sexual problems, infidelity, money, work, children, in-laws and family, divorce and separation, fertility and pre-nuptials.  As an accredited psychosexual (sex) therapist I work with issues around identity, gender, sexual desire, difficulties having sex, porn or sex addiction, performance or size anxiety, distressing sexual thoughts, low confidence  and body concerns.  I am LGBTQ+ friendly, a sex positive psychotherapist open to working with polyamory, consensual BDSM and kink.

Personal Statement

Are you struggling in your relationship? Is communication an issue? Perhaps anxiety is affecting your intimacy. Are you feeling sad? I have extensive training and experience in working with individuals and couples. I can help you achieve your goals or process whatever is troubling you.

I originally trained as a Person Centred Therapist, later as a Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Therapist and then as a Sex and Relationship Psychotherapist. More recently I have trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) which is helpful for trauma and PTSD. I am a qualified Gottman Couple Therapist and also use Imago relationship theory in my work. I work eclectically tailoring my work to suit individual circumstances.

Our first session is an opportunity for you to discuss the issue(s) you wish to focus on. It is an opportunity for you to assess me and the way I work. The choice of therapist is considered to be more important than the modality.
