Personal Statement

As a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I seek to understand the presenting problem in the context of the experiences and relationships that have shaped the client and that may be influencing the current situation. In that sense, the emphasis of this approach is not so much on problem solving or symptom relief, but on insight and deep seated changes.

My clients can expect a thorough exploration of what has brought them, as well as their history and circumstances, to enable us both to better understand what ails them and why. This process will hopefully allow us both to consider whether I am the right person to help them.
