Special interest areas
My practice is varied, often clients present with issues from present experiences to find that the problem is rooted historically. I work with clients in a non-judgemental way, using eclectic interventions whilst working at my client's own pace. My focus is sexual abuse, both present and historical and rape of both male and female..
Personal Statement
I believe the trusting and honest relationship between therapist and client is the most important basis for therapy. Clients may expect that initially we have an introduction to get to know each other and clarify if the client is willing to work with me. The client then may question me on any aspect of my work and I will discuss confidentiality and when that could be broken. I will then explain protocol of treatments. I am client-centred when using EMDR for traumatised clients, keeping them safe and supported. We would then discuss their presenting problem and agree a treatment plan.
