Special interest areas

I have worked extensively with survivors of domestic abuse and young people with intellectual disabilities. I include in my practice “Capacitar” - a multicultural wellness approach. I facilitate community groups which include adults, adolescences and children.

Personal Statement

I work in a person centred way. By this I mean I rely on the relationship between you, the client, and me, the counsellor, developing and growing so that we can trust each other to explore and identify the core issues you are bringing to therapy.

Throughout my working life as a counsellor, I have embraced and will continue to embrace the Rogerian core conditions (Carl Rogers) - these are Unconditional Positive Regard, Empathy and Congruence. They will be at the heart of the work we do together.

The primary focus of my work is person centred. The secondary focus of my work is on the ancient traditions of body-oriented therapies. I will offer you a tool kit of techniques, which will enable you to learn about body literacy and how to heal yourself.
