I am a warm, caring compassionate and experienced therapist working with children and young people who struggle with everyday anxiety, having extensive experience of successful outcomes with young people who may feel marginalised and isolated in their lives, through peer pressure and relationships with others. For children and young people- counselling differs from that offered to counselling adults. A child's age specific difficulties and their development will determine the method I use to support children in expressing their thoughts, feelings and physical emotions. Working together ensures a positive outcome while covering issues such as childhood trauma, sexual, physical and emotional abuse, anxiety, depression, bullying, self- harming, bullying and low self esteem. I have a warm and welcoming approach working creatively using art, music to support children and young people to explore and help to resolve problems through talk therapy and therapeutic play. The preferred approach is always agreed with the child and young person. I have extensive knowledge and experience is using a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, Psychodynamic and Humanistic which is tailored to the individual's needs for all ages from the age of 3 to 24 years old, and adults
