Personal Statement
We may find ourselves feeling stressed, stuck, overwhelmed or burnt out with things in our lives. Therapy can provide you with a confidential safe space to stop and take time out to explore what might be going on.
Our time together provides you with an opportunity to discover whether talking therapies can help you to make the changes you desire. We work collaboratively, making sense of things, overcoming problems and navigating towards your goals.
In CBT we recognise that sometimes we get caught up in unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving in certain ways that can exacerbate our distress. Together we will explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in order to understand what problematic cycles you might be caught up in. With this information we will aim to develop strategies to help break these cycles, enabling you to feel differently.
