Special interest areas
I have particular experience with low self-esteem and anxiety issues for all age groups, grief and loss - whether that is losing a person or an animal or in fact anything in their life they hold dear, working with young people in schools and college, gender identity, trauma, and relationship issues.
Life can be unpredictable and some experiences can cause reactions we don’t fully understand. My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming safe environment where together we can explore any worries, problems or issues that are causing you any distress, sadness or anxiety.
With counselling you will gain an understanding of why you are feeling the way you are, and working together on an equal level we can find a healthier way forward. I understand that revealing your thoughts and feelings to a stranger is not always easy - I have been where you are now and have utilised therapy myself which gave me the strength to take control of my life. I am able to provide to you a confidential and empathic environment where trust can be built, allowing exploration to flow naturally when the time is right for you. I will support you and encourage you throughout.
