Personal Statement

I offer an integrative approach that draws from the three modalities in which I am qualified: person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapies. By utilising discreet aspects of each we work together to identify patterns and how our life experiences and relationships growing up contributed to their development. We consider how useful these patterns are in your present day life and which aspects might be helpful to change and adapt. Using the core beliefs of person-centred therapy of your innate ability to know and meet your own needs we identify goals that will contribute to developing a healthier view of yourself, changing relationship patterns and behaviours, and living an authentic and fulfilling life. This might be done through developing self awareness, setting short and long term goals, and practicing skills.
