Personal Statement

I am a compassionate and client-focused CBT and EMDR practitioner, who strives to sit alongside my clients on their psychological journey. I specialise in working with both single and co-morbid mental health disorders by taking a bespoke and transdiagnostic approach to target underlying issues, including low self-esteem, procrastination and perfectionism.

My experience includes working with NHS and private healthcare companies in assessing and treating clients presenting with a wide variety of disorders. These include, depression, stress induced/related difficulties, anxiety disorders such as health anxiety, social anxiety, general anxiety, Panic, Panic & Agoraphobia, Specific phobias, Obsessive Compulsive type thoughts and behaviours (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Emetophobia, Body dysmorphia, Trichotillomania, Separation Anxiety Disorder, including Substance-induced Anxiety Disorder, characterised by symptoms of intense anxiety or panic that are a direct result of misusing drugs, taking medications, being exposed to a toxic substance or withdrawal from drugs and other specified anxiety disorder and Unspecified Anxiety Disorders, such as anxiety or phobias that don't meet the exact criteria for any other anxiety disorders but are significant enough to be distressing and disruptive.

When starting a treatment plan, we will focus on working collaboratively throughout the psychological journey during which you will be treated respectfully.  We will agree on a treatment plan that focuses on what is most impacting your life negatively and we will target treatment according to your goals for therapy. Our work together will be regularly reviewed for what is and isn't helpful and overall effectiveness.
