Personal Statement
The first session is an initial consultation, where the client share the difficulties they are struggling with and what they would like to get out of therapy. I provide the client with feedback as to why they might be struggling and provide an outline of therapy. The therapy sessions are spent on teaching the client new tools and techniques in the session . The strategies can be behavioral and cognitive. The client will then be encouraged to practice these in between sessions on regular basis in order to move forward.
