Personal Statement

I am an Integrative Counsellor which means I work with the client at the heart of therapy, and may incorporate other modalities of counselling where appropriate, with the agreement and understanding of the client.  I am also an EMDR Practitioner.

I aim to help you feel at ease and really listen to you.  We will work together to deeply understand your issues and concerns and to identify what you would like to achieve through counselling or EMDR.  I aim to help you to explore your concerns, feelings, life events and challenges and understand the impact upon you.  We may explore options, alternatives, new ways of dealing with situations, different perspectives, understanding behaviours, emotions, feelings, acceptance or actions and to find a healthy way forwards for you, step by step
