Special interest areas
I have experience of supporting adults from 18+ personally; for workplaces or higher education with any type of loss; change; bereavement and potentially traumatic experiences. I have the speciality of working with those who have been bereaved as a result of suicide and those who deal with deaths and suicide as part of their work life (eg: blue light services personnel).
Personal Statement
I offer an approachable, safe and caring service which creates an environment for you to share something of what is troubling you.
By spending some time with you I tailor my support to your individual needs. I do this by going at your pace; listening to you; being genuine with you and providing some clarity to find a way forward.
I use these theories:
If it is hard to find the words then I may help by using creative techniques e.g. imagery or drawing.
I appreciate you might feel nervous but I am used to helping people that talk to me feel as comfortable as possible about many subjects they find unsettling.
