Personal Statement

I work collaboratively with my clients to achieve a shared aim of alleviating distress through understanding your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. In doing this we can equip you with coping strategies that will stay with you long after therapy ends.

I draw from my experience of CBT and ACT to uncover and align you with your values and work towards taking action to improve your life. I believe by doing this I can help people to achieve significant improvements in how they feel and live their day to day lives.

The relationship between the client and I is equally, if not more so, important than the therapy itself. Many clients are seeking therapy for the first time and may feel vulnerable and uncertain about discussing their feelings and problems with a ‘stranger’. I can assure you that my approach is open and genuine, with the hope that we create a safe space for you to explore your life.
