Personal Statement

I am passionate about counselling and the support I am privileged to offer to individuals. I work holistically by listening to what you have to say and building a trusting and therapeutic relationship. I offer empathy in a warm, safe non-judgmental and confidential environment, giving you the time and space to explore and work through past and presenting issues. I am a qualified integrative counsellor providing support to individuals who may be having difficulties with relationships, self esteem, loss, anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse and many other issues. There are times in our life when we feel a little lost and feel stuck in a situation which seems impossible to go forward from. You may find that with the support of counselling you are empowered to make changes and have a better understanding of yourself in the process. I My therapeutic approach is about building the relationship using the three core conditions Empathy, Congruence and Unconditional Positive Regard. I use a person centred approach with clients when we are working in the here and now. I use a Psychodynamic approach when clients need to explore their past to unlock their core beliefs around their patterns of behaviour this helps the client to have a better understanding of their pattern of relating. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help clients manage difficulties by changing the way they think and behave.
